The Annual Jamrock Reggaefest festivities kicked of at Boucarou Lounge in the Lower East Side of NYC. Rocking to the sounds of New Kingston Band and Fatta Diamond of Stinga Movements, the ultra sexy lounge hosted various Caribbean media as they gathered to get more information as the concert draws near. Taking place at the Hammerstein Ballroom the concert is dubbed “Jammin in the City” moving from its original location in at the Westchester Center. David “Squeeze” Annakie states, “Its not about money, but about branding us a community”. The lovely Ce’cile and Etana, both set to perform on the show were in the house talking about looking forward to their performances. Etana state, “Last year it was just me and my guitar, this year I’m coming with a band and have a longer set and I’m coming to give a great show” Etana will most likely will be performing hits from her upcoming album set to release on VP Records in June.

Ce’cile is excited to perform  and wants us to look out for her US release, which has some exclusive songs that were not on the Japanese released album. She also did a remix to “I’m Waiting” with Shaggy slated to hit the airwaves soon. Jamrock Reggaefest goes down Saturday June 14 the line up includes Beenie Man, Third World, Sanchez, Kymani Marley, Assasin, Vegas, Cecile, Etana, Demarco and Christopher and more to be added.  Be sure you get your tickets and don’t say I never told you so!
